Dr Trong Anh graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City in 1995, later achieving his Specialist Level II degree in Orthopaedic Trauma in 2009. Committed to enhancing his expertise and staying current with advanced treatment methods, he earned several international scholarships, enabling him to train in arthroscopy, sports medicine, and orthopaedic surgery at prestigious institutions in the United States between 2000 to 2004. Since then, Dr Nguyen Trong Anh has continued to refine his skills, contributing to scientific research and treating conditions affecting the shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist, ankle, and hand, addressing both sports injuries and general musculoskeletal issues. He has also served as a sports physician at various Vietnamese and international tournaments, including ATP, ITF, and tennis, as well as football, basketball, volleyball, and martial arts.

Dr Nguyen Trong Anh has held senior roles at numerous major medical institutions both in Vietnam and internationally. Since 1996, he has served as a Senior Consultant at prominent centres, including the National Training Centre II, Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopaedics, 115 People’s Hospital, Columbia Asia, Saigon ITO, among others. Additionally, he has provided professional consultancy to many leading hospitals across the country.

Alongside his clinical roles, Dr Nguyen Trong Anh has been actively involved in teaching over the years as a lecturer at the Sports and Physical Gymnastics University II, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, and VinUni. He also served as Co-Director of the Arthroscopy Training Programme in partnership with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Vietnam Orthopaedic Association (AAOS-VOA) from 2009 to 2016. Additionally, he has lectured for the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and contributed to other educational programmes within Vietnam.

Dr Nguyen Trong Anh is an official member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS), and the Asian Shoulder Study Group (ASSG). He serves as the Vice President of the HCMC Sports Medicine Association.
