The Board of Directors of the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund and Ambassador Miss Ngoc Chau
At the ambassador announcement event, the Director of the Foundation – Ms Le Lan Khanh shared some of the touching stories that the organization has achieved over the past 15 years as well as expressing her trust in the organisation with the support of Ambassador Ngoc Chau. She thanked Dr Jean-Marcel and his colleagues for their efforts to help children under 16 years old with birth defects across Vietnam. “600 is not a huge number – because saving children is never enough and the effort needs to continue every day. Yet, 600 kids regained their bright eyes, writing hands, running feet, and happy smiles to live a worthy life.” – Ms Lan Khanh contributed further about the meaning of the journey and treating more than 600 children with birth defects in the 15 years.
Entering the 16th year, the Fund and Miss Ngoc Chau has the opportunity to support and work together to help more under privileged children. She feels honoured and happy to become the Fund’s Ambassador, Ngoc Chau shared: “When deciding to participate in a certain programme, Chau takes into consideration a lot about the value and the rationale for the project, whether my values and goals are suitable for that project or not. Fortunately, the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund and Chau both share the same vision and aspirations to help children with birth defects access medical care for treatment and rehabilitation, both physically and mentally”. She hopes that in the upcoming journey, she will work with the organisation to create strong values for children and the society.
Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon, on behalf of the organisation, presented a commemorative painting to Miss Ngoc Chau
In the program, Ms Lan Khanh and the organisation team presented a very special and meaningful gift to Ngoc Chau. It’s a painting of Little Hands contributing to bringing a Big Happiness. The picture was drawn by child artist Pham Hoang Oanh, currently studying at Hong Ha Primary School, Binh Thanh District. This is a picture with the meaning of healthy hands supporting each other and support less fortunate hands. The picture was presented to Miss Ngoc Chau as thank you for her willingness to support children, joining hands to help many children lives.
At the event, Ngoc Chau emphasised the message: A healthy baby being born is a miracle, but a disabled child being healed is more than a miracle. “Chau is always willing to embrace and to act with the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund to bring a better future to children across the country,” said Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.
At the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the organisation will have further events as well as fundraising activities such as the Kite Flying Festival “Bringing wings to children’s dreams” in December 2022 and the fun run “Miracle Footsteps” in March 2023.
