Dr. Gilles Blache graduated from School of Medicine, University of Lyon 1, France, in 1979. He then obtained Advanced Training Certificates specialising in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from University of Medicine, Grenoble, France, in 1983 and University of Ordre des Medecins Saint Etienne, France, in 1989. In addition to a Master in Embryology and Foetal Development from Paris V University in 1986 and Master of science in Anatomy, University of Lyon 1, France, in 1992. Dr. Gilles Blache has also achieved many other certificates such as a Certification for Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Certification for Antenatal Diagnosis.
Dr. Gilles Blache has over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has spent 24 consecutive years working at Central Hospital, Roanne, France. Recognised as a dedicated and passionate doctor, during his time at this hospital Dr. Gilles Blache performed thousands of successful surgeries to treat breast and uterine cancers and infertility via IVF.
Dr. Gilles Blache has accumulated a great deal of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology through a variety of roles, including those at a management level. Over the years he dedicated a great deal of his time to researching and developing medical advances and innovations, such as advanced laparoscopic techniques, to treat a wide range of patients.
Dr. Gilles is has many experiences in preservation surgeries in cases of breast cancer and in pelvic laparoscopy, pelvic cancer surgery and infertility diagnosis and treatment.
After four years working as Head of the Women and Children’s Department, Central Hospital, Roanne, France, from 2010 to 2014, Dr. Gilles Blache accepted FV’s invitation to be Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, FV Hospital. In this position, Dr. Gilles has made significant contributions to developing the services offered at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, including treatment for breast cancer and uterine cancer by endoscopic surgery, sentinel location and biopsy to determine the degree of cancer metastasis by utilising radio-isotope angiography and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in screening for prenatal malformations.
