Dr Nguyen Quang Dai graduated as a Medical Doctor from Medical University of Ho Chi Minh City in 1997 and then obtained his Specialisation Degree in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) in 2001, also at this University. Dr Dai then went on to obtain a Master of Medicine in Molecular Cell Biology from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2007.
Dr Dai won a FISCH scholarship from Fisch International Microsurgery Foundation in Switzerland, which was granted by the leading master in ear and skull base surgeries, Prof. Ugo Fisch. Dr Dai achieved his Specialisation Degree in Ear Microsurgery and Skull Base Surgery from Zurich University in Swiss in 2009. Dr Dai was the first and the only doctor from Vietnam to win this scholarship.
Additionally, Dr Dai has also successfully completed many advanced training courses overseas and obtained certificates on nasal cavity conditions and rhinology. He has earned certifications in Allergy and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery from Graz University, Austria (2004); Otolaryngology from the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, University College London, United Kingdom (2005); Otology and Skull Base Surgery from Cantonal Hospital, Luzerne, Switzerland (2009); and Otology, Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery, and Cochlear Implantation from Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto, Canada (2011).
Dr Dai has 18 years of experience treating ORL conditions, six years of which he has dedicated to otology, neurotology and skull base surgery.
In 2011, Dr Dai became FVH’s Head of Otolaryngology. During this period of time, he has successfully performed hundreds of complicated otolaryngology cases.
Dr Dai has intensive experience in treating head and neck cancers and hearing disorders utilising advanced techniques such as eardrum stitches, ossicular reconstruction, stapes surgery, cochlear implantation and Bonebridge, a new hearing implant system.
