Dr Nguyen Van Tho graduated from University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City in 2000. He was engaged as an inpatient doctor of a hospital who specialised at Tuberculosis and Lung Disease in 2004. In 2008, he received his Masters in Medical Science from the University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City. Following this, Dr Nguyen Van Tho continued to practice and became the PhD in Medical Science, Shiga University of Medical Science, Shiga, Japan, in 2015.
Throughout his career Dr Tho has participated in many advanced training courses, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Singapore General Hospital, in Singapore 2007 and he received the Harasawa Scholarship from the Japanese Respiratory Society, Shiga University of Medical Science, Japan, 2009-2010.
With over 20 years’ experience as well as specialisation in Asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Airways Diseases, Functional Imaging in Chest Diseases, Dr Nguyen Van Tho previously worked in the Department of Lung Function Studies, University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City, since 2003; and maintained his role as Senior Consultant in Obstructive Lung Diseases Department, Non-Tuberculosis Lung Diseases Department, Lung Cancer Department, Tuberculosis Department of Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital since 2000. In his career he has assisted many patients to recover from their diseases and maintain a high quality of life.
Dr Nguyen Van Tho has been a clinical lecturer since 2005. At this time, he has maintained the role of Head of Tuberculosis & Lung Diseases Department, University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City.
On November, 2020, Dr Nguyen Van Tho joined FV’s Pulmonology Department.
