Dr. Tran Nhan Tuan – Head of the Cardiology Department

Dr. Tran Nhan Tuan obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1999, and then a Master of Medicine degree in 2015 from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.

Dr. Tran Nhan Tuan has more than 15 years of experience in the medical industry, particularly in the cardiovascular field. Upon graduation, Dr. Tuan completed his internship with expertise in clinical cardiovascular care at the Cardiology Department of Cho Ray Hospital (2001-2002), and then at the Cardiology Department of Heart Institute (2004-2006).

In 2006, Dr. Tuan assumed the role of Deputy Head of the Cardiology Intervention Department of Tam Duc Heart Hospital. In 2009, he served as Deputy Head of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Study and Arrhythmology Department at Tam Duc Heart Hospital. During this time, Dr. Tuan received his professional training in electrophysiology and arrhythmology at Malaysia National Heart Institute (2010-2011).

Over the course of his term serving as Deputy Head of two key departments at Tam Duc Heart Hospital, Dr. Tuan actively applied innovative techniques to offer more treatment options for patients with cardiovascular diseases.

After accepting the invitation to become Head of the Cardiology Department of FV Hospital, Dr. Tuan wishes, in collaboration with the Board of Directors and medical staff of FV Hospital, to develop his department by equipping it with cutting edge technology for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as:

  • Coronary artery scanner and stenting equipment
  • Radiofrequency catheter ablation for accelerated arrhythmia
  • Stress test for myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia
  • Three-dimensional heart ultrasound scanner for comprehensive assessment of heart anatomy and functions

Pacemakers for bradycardiac treatment, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and chamber pacemakers for patients with severe heart failure who do not respond to drugs
