EXCLUSIVE LAUNCH OFFER: UP TO 34% OFF CLARITYX PERSONALISED VISION CORRECTION TECHNOLOGY

FV Hospital’s Ophthalmology & Refractive Surgery Department officially introduces ClarityX, a next-generation laser refractive surgery technology that sets a new standard in vision correction. ClarityX is engineered to correct both low-order aberrations (including myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism) and high-order aberrations, which are subtle optical imperfections that cause issues such as glare, halos, ghosting, and reduced contrast. These disturbances are particularly noticeable at night or in low-light conditions and can significantly affect visual quality.

ClarityX delivers a completely personalised treatment experience, with each surgical plan tailored to the unique optical map of every eye. By applying advanced Wavefront-Guided technology – widely recognised as the gold standard in modern refractive correction – ClarityX effectively corrects myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism, while also minimising high-order aberrations. The result is sharper visual clarity, and reduction in post-operative glare and halos.

The entire process, from eye examination and measurement to personalised treatment planning, is conducted using advanced equipment from Germany and Italy. This includes the Oculus Corvis ST and Oculus Pentacam AXL, which accurately evaluates corneal biomechanics, such as rigidity, elasticity, and curvature. Additional systems like the Sirius – Topo Tomographer, Schwind Peramis – Topo Aberrometer, and Schwind Amaris 1050RS provide detailed analysis of wavefront aberrations, 3D corneal mapping, corneal thickness, and visual axis alignment.

The state-of-the-art Schwind Amaris 1050RS laser system equipped with 6D eye tracking and operates at a pulse rate of 1050Hz, enabling ultra-fast treatments (≤ 1.3 seconds per dioptre) with micron-level precision. It supports multiple treatment modes, including Aberration-Free, Wavefront-Guided, and Topography-Guided options. The procedure is fast, bladeless, painless, and offers noticeable visual recovery within 24 hours.

ClarityX at FV Hospital is an ideal option for patients with high-order aberrations, including those who have never undergone refractive surgery or who continue to experience glare, halos, or poor night vision following previous procedures. It is also well-suited for individuals who work in low-light environments or frequently drive at night.

What sets eye surgery at FV Hospital apart?

While refractive surgery is a quick and minimally invasive procedure, its success depends on being performed in a sterile environment, using advanced, proven technologies, and under the care of highly experienced ophthalmology specialists. This approach minimises potential risks such as corneal scarring. At FV Hospital, we are proud to be a trusted centre for vision correction, offering several key advantages:

  • Dr Nguyen Thi Mai, Specialist Level I, Head of the Ophthalmology & Refractive Surgery Department at FV, is a seasoned expert with over 30,000 successful refractive surgeries, and will personally perform your procedure.
  • Continuous adoption of the latest, cutting-edge technologies
  • Consultation and surgical protocols aligned with international JCI safety standards
  • World-class operating theatre, maintaining near-absolute sterility
  • No downtime required; vision typically recovers within 3 to 7 days, depending on the procedure
  • High safety and precision, supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment systems
  • Long-lasting results
  • Four complimentary post-operative follow-up visits

At FV Hospital, you’ll experience the difference from the very first step – our in-depth pre-operative assessment. This comprehensive evaluation accurately determines your refractive error, corneal thickness, and other ocular parameters, using state-of-the-art diagnostic systems available exclusively at FV. It plays a vital role in identifying congenital eye conditions at an early stage, such as keratoconus or detecting contraindications for surgery that conventional equipment may overlook. It also enables surgeons to choose the most suitable surgical method, reducing the risk of complications and ensuring patient safety.

FV is one of the few hospitals in Vietnam equipped with the Oculus Corvis ST and Oculus Pentacam AXL – advanced devices that combine corneal topography with biomechanical assessment. These tools enable ophthalmologists to evaluate corneal strength, stiffness, and deformation response, even at preclinical stages. This level of detailed analysis supports safer, more precise decision-making both before and after surgery.

In addition to its team of highly skilled and experienced ophthalmologists and advanced equipment, FV is one of the few hospitals in Vietnam accredited with the Joint Commission International (JCI) for infection control and patient safety. This accreditation ensures a sterile environment, minimises the risk of cross-contamination, and provides patients peace of mind at every stage of their care.
