On Friday night, 9th April FV Staff Loyalty Ceremony took place at Chloe Gallery in an intimate, joyful and luxurious atmosphere. Attending the ceremony were 142 honoured staff and more than 50 guests including the Board of Directors, Head of Department and managers working at the hospital.
This year’s ceremony is very special time when we show our appreciation for 141 employees who have spent 5 years, 10 years and 15 contributing to FV Hospital. The year 2021 also marks the 20 year anniversary for our CEO and Founder – Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon. Sharing humour when being honoured by FV, Dr Guillon said: “I now realise I have spent 20 years with FV, thank you so much for enduring me until today.” It can be seen as his ideals and ambitions after 20 years are completed and more.
Mohd Fazli Shuib (Head of Pharmacy) does not think he has worked for 5 years for FV. He said time passed so quickly. He still remembers the question “Fazli! Why do you come here to work?” from the interviewer, it took a while before he realised it was the CEO. Fazli shared the consistent impressions of Dr Jean-Marcel from surrounding colleagues is something that is so wonderful when he goes to work every day. “We’ve had some intense debates, but we’ve always reached a common goal. I am grateful that Dr Jean-Marcel has always been the one who gives the advice to solve my problems” said Mr Fazli sincerely about his 5 years working.
At the ceremony, Ms Tran Le Quyen (Chief Financial Officer) reflected, I waited 18 years to have my time to celebrate 10 years dedication. Ms Quyen knew FV from the time that the hospital was not in operation. At that time, she was working for the finance company that supported the FV Hospital project. Ms Quyen remembers the first time she saw Dr Jean-Marcel: “When I was not working at FV, I only saw his name on financial records, so when I was introduced to him, I was quite stunned. He looks like my favourite actor, but he is the doctor, but also the director”. Much later, thanks to a chance meeting with Dr Jean-Marcel in the US, she decided to return to Vietnam and started working officially for FV. Over the past 10 years, she has learned a lot from Dr Jean-Marcel, not only in hospital financial management, but also in the style of “visionary and do your best in the job”. Thanks to those enthusiastic instructions, she has helped the finances of the hospital become more stable and steady step-by-step.
Ms Nguyen Thi Chau Doai (Customer Consultant – Sales Department) shared a charming story about her 15 years working at FV. Her story filled the ceremony atmosphere with laughter. “It can be seen that the early days of doing business at FV were really difficult. After 2 months of stressful work, my turnover was only 300,000 VND, but I did not expect my first customer to be myself.” It was very touching to hear about the past, Ms Le Thu shared: “I felt very lucky that my sales department at that time, there were dedicated people like Ms Doai.” For 15 years some people could not stand it, some people changed jobs, but Chau Doai felt that she was just on the wrong track, so she constantly learned and changed her way of working. During the last honouring ceremony, she was very happy that she was still present to testify that the previous changes put her on the right track.
This ceremony also marks the 18th year that FV Hospital officially came into operation. This year’s event honoured 62 employees who have 5-year, 37 employees with 10-year, 42 employees with 15-year and Dr Jean-Marcel with 20 years of dedication to the hospital.
2021 has definitely been a busy year for the FV Family, as we are actively preparing for the JCI accreditation next year. On the journey of quality verification, each member, especially the staff who have spent many years of dedication at FV, are all important factors. As CEO Jean-Marcel Guillon said: “The success at FV is all thanks to the efforts and loyalty of everyone here, you should be proud of it. Once again, thank you for your time and enthusiasm for FV. I Hope that our contributions will bring development to the hospital. Moreover, it will help fulfil the mission to bring international quality healthcare to the Vietnamese people.”
