Remote healthcare is no longer just a passing trend but has become an integral part of modern medicine. FV Hospital, known for its commitment to innovation, is finalising FV@HOME – a digital healthcare application that allows patients to access medical services from the comfort of their homes. The service reduces the need for travel while maintaining international standards of care.
Connecting Patients to Doctors Anytime, Anywhere
FV@HOME is built around two core services: telemedicine consultations and homecare services. Through telemedicine, patients can search for doctors, book appointments, and connect via video calls for consultations, diagnoses, and treatment prescriptions. Without the need to travel, patients receive expert care from FV’s medical team. Additionally, FV integrates medicine delivery services to ensure uninterrupted treatment.
FV@HOME enables patients to access international-standard healthcare from the comfort of their homes.
In parallel with telemedicine, homecare services have become a preferred choice for many patients. In addition to traditional access channels such as doctor referrals, direct hotline booking, or through FV’s Telemedicine Center, FV@HOME now allows patients to schedule home nursing, physiotherapy, and mother & baby care services, offering greater convenience and time efficiency.
According to Ms Nguyen Thi Huong, Healthcare at Home and Telemedicine Centre Manager, healthcare service access habits have shifted significantly, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. “Today, patients prioritize flexibility. They not only seek high-quality medical services but also demand convenient access. FV@HOME is the solution that meets these needs,” she shared.
Home physiotherapy is becoming a preferred choice among FV patients.
Statistics from FV (2023–2024) show a significant rise in the use of telemedicine and homecare services across specialties including Oncology, Orthopaedics, General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Nutrition. This trend reflects the growing importance of remote care in modern healthcare. Patients are also becoming more proactive in managing their health through cost-effective, time-saving solutions that help reduce unnecessary hospital visits.
Expanding FV@HOME’s Features to Improve the Patient Experience
Starting with home sample collection services during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, annual usage of this service has quadrupled by 2024. Home nursing services have experienced record growth, with usage increasing 40-fold over the past four years. Notably, the Mother & Baby Care service – once a novel concept – now supports more than 1,300 postpartum mothers each year.
FV also provides home medication delivery to ensure safe treatment.
Ms Huong explains, “We have observed an increasing number of patients opting for telemedicine and homecare services. The FV@HOME application will professionalize and streamline this process while maintaining international standards, just like at FV Hospital.” In addition to adapting to changing patient habits and improving service accessibility, FV@HOME also prioritizes strict patient data security measures.
More than being an individual healthcare platform, FV@HOME is designed to serve as a medical assistant for the whole family. Users can add family members to their accounts, making it easier to schedule appointments and monitor the health of loved ones. This feature is especially helpful for paediatric and elderly patients who may have difficulty accessing online healthcare services.
Home nursing services are widely trusted by families due to their convenience and quality.
Another practical feature in development is emergency transportation booking. This function will allow users to request an ambulance quickly and track its route in real time through the application, improving access to urgent medical care.
With FV@HOME, patients will soon be able to call and track the journey of an ambulance.
FV’s long-term goal is to develop FV@HOME into a comprehensive digital healthcare platform – one that not only meets current needs but also supports patients in their long-term, personalized healthcare journeys. With a strong technological foundation, advanced data security systems, and a highly specialized medical team, FV aims to position FV@HOME as a new benchmark for digital healthcare in Vietnam.
FV is currently in the final testing phase and plans to officially launch FV@HOME in May 2025. The application will soon be available on both the App Store and Google Play, ready to support patients throughout their comprehensive healthcare journey.
