FV’s 13th Blood Donation Programme – Spreading Love, Coming Together for the Community

On the morning of 21st February 2025, FV Hospital hosted its 13th “Give Blood – Give Hope” event, warmly welcomed by 140 enthusiastic volunteers. The atmosphere was filled with energy and a strong spirit of generosity, making this a truly meaningful occasion that continues FV’s tradition of compassion.

From early morning, the donation area buzzed with activity as volunteers gathered to contribute to this noble cause. Thanks to the professional organisation and the dedication of the medical team, the event ran smoothly, collecting a total of 111 units of blood (each averaging 350ml). These precious donations will significantly support the blood bank in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas, offering a lifeline to patients in urgent need.

Many FV staff turned up early to take part in blood donation

Dr Nguyen T. Huong Tra, a medical intern, shared her thoughts: “I haven’t had many opportunities to donate blood, but every time I do, I feel truly happy knowing that even a small amount of my blood could save someone’s life.” This very spirit has encouraged many volunteers to always be ready to join the “Give Blood – Give Hope” progamme.

Young doctor Huong Tra believes blood donation is especially meaningful for healthcare professionals

Alongside familiar faces who have regularly participated in previous donation programmes, this event also welcomed many first-time donors, including young employees, interns, and even volunteers from outside FV. This highlights that beyond being an opportunity to help others, the programme also fosters connections, promotes social responsibility, and reflects FV Hospital’s deeply humanitarian culture.

“The Traditional Calligraphy Activity” returns to FV’s Blood Donation Events!”

One of the most anticipated highlights of FV’s blood donation programmes is the traditional calligraphy activity. Alongside the life-saving act of donating blood, receiving a meaningful calligraphy piece further strengthens the spirit of kindness and unity a cherished part of Vietnamese culture.

With the heartfelt contributions of staff, patients, and the wider community, the 13th “Give Blood – Give Hope” programme once again reaffirms its humanitarian value, delivering life-saving blood to those in need. FV Hospital looks forward to welcoming our wonderful volunteers at the next blood donation event, where together, we will continue the journey of giving hope and sharing love.
