Get Ready for the 14th Blood Donation Programme: ‘Give Blood – Give Hope’

The 14th “Give Blood – Give Hope” blood donation programme will be held on 28 August 2025. As the final blood donation event of the year at FV Hospital, don’t miss this chance to take part in this meaningful initiative!

“Give Blood – Give Hope” – an annual programme by FV Hospital – continues to spread love and compassion, with every donated drop of blood offering hope to patients in need.

Organised by FV Hospital in collaboration with the Hospital of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, the 14th “Give Blood – Give Hope” blood donation programme aims to foster compassion and contribute to community healthcare. We warmly welcome everyone’s support and participation. Event details are as follows:

  • Time: 7:30 – 12:00, Thursday, 28 August 2025
  • Location: Auditorium, 3rd Floor – F Building, FV Hospital

Participants will receive:

  • 50,000 VND travel allowance
  • Snacks and drinks on-site
  • Blood Donation Certificate
  • Canned milk

Participants:

  • Blood donors aged 18 to 60, in good health, weighing over 45kg, and free from blood-borne infectious diseases, as well as chronic or acute respiratory or circulatory conditions.
  • Individuals vaccinated more than 14 days ago or recovered from COVID-19 for over 30 days.
  • Donors must bring identification (ID or passport) and complete the registration form at the donation area.

Notes before and after giving blood:

SHOULD NOT:

  • Stay up late or drink alcohol the night before donating
  • Drive long distances, carry heavy loads, do manual labour, or play strenuous sports on the day of donation or until you feel fully recovered

SHOULD:

  • Bring your ID or passport when donating
  • Have a light snack (low protein, low fat) and drink plenty of water (300–500 ml) before donating
  • Eat well and stay hydrated for the next 24 hours after donating
  • Rest for 10 minutes by lying down or sitting after donating
  • Apply pressure to the injection site with a haemostatic cotton pad for 10 minutes and keep the bandage on for 4-6 hours
  • If feeling dizzy, tired, or nauseous, lie down with your head lowered and legs elevated
  • If the injection site becomes swollen or bruised, apply a cold towel or ice pack
