“GIVE BLOOD – GIVE HOPE” 14TH DONATION DRIVE: A JOURNEY OF LASTING COMPASSION

On the morning of 28 August 2025, FV Hospital hosted the 14th “Give Blood – Give Hope” blood donation drive in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Building on the spirit of kindness from previous drives, the event brought together hundreds of volunteers, including healthcare staff, patients, and members of the surrounding community.

Beyond the impressive total of 130 units of blood (350ml each), the event became a true celebration of giving. Volunteers were met with appreciation from the medical team and warm smiles from fellow participants, creating a memorable moment of community spirit at FV.

Many volunteers arrived early to take part in the programme.

This year’s programme was particularly meaningful as it coincided with the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Independence Day (02/09/1945 – 02/09/2025), turning the annual charitable event into a heartfelt tribute and a symbol of solidarity among the Vietnamese people.

With each drop of blood representing a spark of hope, the 14 donation drives have woven a meaningful legacy of care, offering life-saving support to thousands of patients. “This journey of giving won’t end with the 14th drive. Each time you take part, you help write a new page in this story of humanity,” shared the organisers.

Dr Vu Truong Son, Medical Director of FV Hospital, was also present to encourage the volunteers.

By the end of the programme, hundreds of valuable units of blood had been collected and sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Blood Bank, ready to bring hope and life to patients in need of transfusions. FV Hospital looks forward to welcoming volunteers again at future donation drives, continuing this shared journey of giving and hope.
