Let FV help you when you face Psychological problems

Psychological problems can affect your life, health and work. FV Hospital’s Clinical Psychology Department will help you solve the problems.

FV Hospital’s psychologists offer personalised counselling adapted to a patient’s needs, age, and the context of their consultation.  By listening to patients’ difficulties and suffering, psychologists are able to offer them a space where they can express themselves without judgement and in complete confidence. Through these consultations, they focus on helping patients obtain a clearer understanding of their problems, reducing their distress and improving their psychological wellbeing.

The Department’s services include general psychology, services for children from 0 to 12 years old, services for teenagers and ones for adults.

General psychology includes individual counselling or therapy, couple therapy, therapeutic mediation workshops/group therapy, mental healthcare workshops, assistance and guidance for parents, psychological testing for children and adults (intellectual and personality tests for diagnostic assessment).

For the 0-12 range of age, FV’s psychologists use specific methods which are adapted to the age and sensitivity of the individual to facilitate the expression of a child’s difficulties. These may include drawing, modelling, or the staging of small characters.

After the age of 12, the physical and psychological changes in which an individual experiences during adolescence is a time of disorientation and discovery. Therefore, confidentiality, listening, respect for age and personality are all core values in consultations at the department.

As for adults, coaching and counselling are designed to help patients through a painful period in a patient’s present living circumstance. The goal is to find their resources to cope as best as possible to the situation that they are living through. Our psychologists accompany our patients to a state of wellness, offering them a free speech area where a patient’s emotions, questions and concerns are addressed.

The Clinical Psychology Department is easy to get access to as it is located on the ground floor in the Health Check-up Centre in FV Hospital, 6 Nguyen Luong Bang St., Phu My Hung, Dist 7, HCM City, phone: (08) 5411 3333, ext 1350.
