If you have myopia, hypermetropia or astigmatism and are considering treatment via Lasik technology, yet have concerns about the accuracy, safety, and effectiveness of this technique, FV Hospital can offer great results and complete peace of mind.
FV’s Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery Department is equipped with advanced-technique Femto-second Lasik and FEMTO LDV Z8 technologies and our specialists can restore your eyesight without pain and no downtime. After a single night’s rest, you can return to your job and daily activities confidently.
From May 3rd to August 31st, 2021, FV is offering discounts of up to 20% on Lasik or Femtosecond Lasik treatment for customers who have myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism. The cost per package for both eyes is as follows:
- Lasik surgery package, now VND 21,400,000 (originally VND 26,800,000)
- Lasik surgery with corneal crosslinking treatment package (or Lasik Xtra), now VND 33,440,000 (originally VND 41,800,000)
- Femto-second Lasik surgery package, now VND 41,000,000 (originally VND 47,400,000)
- Femto-second Lasik surgery with corneal crosslinking treatment package (or Femto-second Lasik Xtra), now VND 54,000,000 (originally VND 62,400,000)
When visiting FV, you will receive detailed advice from Dr Nguyen Thi Mai, Head of Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery. Dr Mai has nearly 30 years of experience in this field and has successfully performed more than 25,000 surgeries to correct refractive defects and other eye conditions.
FEMTO LDV Z8 is the latest generation of laser machine which helps patients to recover more quickly and provides better quality of vision, with many improved benefits:
- FEMTO LDV Z8 is designed to make the surgery more precise and gentle on the eyes
- The entire surgical procedure is observed and controlled under the OCT screen to help the doctor see corneal thickness better. It is very useful in cases when the patient has corneal scarring, or has had a previous eye surgery
- Minimal post-operative irritation
- A faster treatment time of only 20 seconds per eye
- Superimposed laser point for precise tissue separation
Why should you choose to undergo surgery at FV Hospital?
- Pre-operative examination with Oculus Corvis ST. This is a specialised device available at only a few hospitals in Vietnam which helps doctors to assess the durability, hardness and convex elongation of the cornea so that they can choose the appropriate treatment
- All procedures are simple, fast and performed by expert Dr Nguyen Thi Mai
- No pain, no irritation, a short recovery time
- Safe and accurate procedures using modern equipment
- The surgical environment is completely sterile to avoid postoperative infection
FV Hospital’s team of professional doctors, modern equipment and facilities makes it one of the few healthcare institutions which offer international standards of patient safety and infection control. The ongoing pandemic has highlighted the seriousness of cross-contamination FV Hospital always ensures the utmost safety for its patients. Since 2017, independently conducted infection control studies continuous show that FV hospital’s surgical site infection is always close to zero.
LATEST TREATMENT METHODS
TRADITIONAL LASIK
Advantage:
- Duration of operation: 15 mins
- Laser exposure time: tens of seconds for each eye.
Subjects:
- People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction.
Previous procedure:
- Step 1: Creating a thin flap in the cornea using a computer-controlled surgical blade, then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath.
- Step 2: Using the excimer laser, pulses of light are directed at the eye to reshape the cornea.
- Step 3: Repositioning the corneal flap.
LASIK EXTRA
Advantage:
- Duration of operation: 25 minutes.
- Laser exposure time: ten seconds for each eye.
- Increase corneal biological flexibility
- Avoid the risk of corneal edema and prevents redevelopment of myopia.
Subjects:
- People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction.
Previous procedure:
- Step 1: Creating a thin flap in the cornea using a computer-controlledsurgical blade then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath.
- Step 2: Using the excimer laser, pulses of light are directed at the eye to reshape the cornea, correcting refraction.
- Step 3: Repositioning the corneal flap.
- Step 4: Dropping Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) onto the cornea to absorb into the corneal parenchyma.
- Step 5: The riboflavin-soaked cornea is illuminated with ultra-violet A (UVA) light. The light cross-links the collagen fibers within the cornea, making it stronger.
FEMTO-SECOND LASIK
Advantage:
- High degree of safety and accuracy
- Eyesight is restored immediately after surgery
- Better quality of vision
- Minimise discomfort after surgery
Subjects:
- People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction.
- Specially applied to people with high degree of refraction and thin corneas.
Previous procedure:
- Step 1: Creating a thin flap in the cornea using the Femtosecond Laser, then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath.
- Step 2: Using excimer laser to reshape the cornea beneath the flap and correct the refraction.
- Step 3: Repositioning the corneal flap
FEMTO-SECOND LASIK EXTRA
Advantage:
- High degree of safety. Eyesight is restored gradually after surgery
- Increase corneal biological flexibility
- Reduces the risk of corneal edema and prevents the redevelopment of myopia.
