Over 120 Volunteers Participate in the 12th ‘Give Blood – Give Hope’ Programme at FV Hospital

The 12th “Give Blood – Give Hope” volunteer programme, organised by FV Hospital in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion and Haematology Hospital, was successfully held with the participation of over 120 volunteers who donated 123 units of blood (350ml). This blood donation event, which had been postponed in August, returned with enthusiastic support from staff, patients, family members, and the surrounding community.

Members of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery participated in the blood donation together

The 12th event also marks the 6-year journey of the “Give Blood – Give Hope” programme. Over the years, the programme has not only received support from volunteers but has also expanded to include interns, neighbouring residents, and visitors at FV. Each unit of blood donated is a humanitarian act, reflecting the community’s solidarity and support for patients in need of blood for their treatment.

Many residents from the neighbouring area participated in meaningful activities with FV’s staff

Healthcare staff, especially doctors and nurses at FV, also actively participated in the programme. Everyone agreed that blood donation is not only a noble gesture but also a responsibility towards the community and their work in healthcare. These contributions not only assist in treating patients in Ho Chi Minh City but also spread humanitarian values to neighbouring areas.

As in previous events, this blood donation programme continued to feature a “calligraphy table.” Meaningful messages and inspiring notes were penned by calligraphy artists and given to many volunteers, patients, and staff at FV.

FV Hospital hopes to organize more meaningful events for the community

The “Give Blood – Give Hope” programme once again reaffirms its significance as a cherished annual charitable activity at FV. The hospital hopes that through these blood donation drives, it will provide valuable “gifts” that contribute to the treatment and saving of many patients.
