The FVH Ophthalmology Department is a comprehensive eye centre complete with several specialist consultation rooms equipped with slit-lamps, an Autokeratorefractometer, a non-contact Tonometer, Angiographs, Ultrasound (A/B echo scan), Argon and Yag lasers and visual field technology. In the operating theatre, we utilise state-of-the-art operating Leica microscopes and an Alcon Phaco-Emulsificator for treating cataracts. The FVH Ophthalmology team also applies laser refractive surgery to treat a broad range of myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (long-sightedness) and astigmatism.
FV Hospital in collaboration SNEC now provides consultation and treatments to patients with complicated eye conditions. After being examined at FV Hospital, we will support patients who need to travel to Singapore by arranging flight schedules and exit procedures. After being treated in Singapore, patients will return to Vietnam for follow-ups and post-operative examinations at FV Hospital. This cooperative effort provides a more cost-friendly method compared with direct treatments in Singapore (saving about 30 per cent of the total cost).
