The FV Shining Star in February 2023 emotionally told us about FV Family. During a special occasion of FV’s 20th anniversary, nothing is more wonderful than having a Shining star staff with 20 years of dedication to FV.

Ms Nguyen Thuy Van has been working at FV since 2003, as a kitchen staff, in the Food and Beverage Department. After 15 years, the department was temporarily closed and employees could use the opportunity to look at new directions. “I don’t want to go to another place to work, or work for a contractor. Fortunately, I was able to continue as an employee of FV, with a new job like I’m still doing now,” said Mrs Van.

To Ms Van, working as a kitchen staff, or as a Medical Record Scanning Clerk comes with different challenges. She always actively seeks to overcome limitations in her work, in addition to the enthusiastic support from colleagues. She recalled: “In the past or now, I always have the opportunities to work with managers who understand me, and the colleagues working with me are very positive”. It can be said that the working environment is one of the main reasons keeping her at FV for 20 years.

The hospital seems to have invisible bond, helping Ms Van to work hard with the constant high workload and maintain her passion. The sincerity and abundant energy is something significant about this senior member. She said, when working in an environment where I can see my old boss, meet old friends, interact with senior managers and everyone else such as relatives, the dedication will come naturally.

Similar to other staff who have worked at FV for many years, Ms Van is sometimes “afraid” to think about the day she will leave this workplace. “I am afraid that I will no longer be healthy enough to work,” she confided. Time is a natural process that all things must face and everything changes. However, FV remains a shared home for anyone who wants to conquer their limits. At the same time the hospital also recognises everyone who has been a part of FV.

Winning the Shining Star award was a great joy to Ms Nguyen Thuy Van. It’s also recognition from FV to Ms Van for her many years of dedication. For FV, perhaps sincere thank you is not enough for those who have been with the hospital from day one. Congratulations to you for winning the award Shining Star February 2023. We wish her health so that she can continue to accompany FV, as she wishes.
