Shining star of May 2024

The FV Shining Star of May 2024 was awarded to Ms Tran Thi Thuong, a gentle yet passionate professional dedicated to her work. Her dedication and work ethic have helped her overcome many challenges to made significant contributions to her department – the Liaison Office.
Ms Thuong told us since she started working at FV in 2017, she was driven by her passion for a career with high humanitarian value. Her job is not just about maintaining connections and arranging treatment schedules between doctors (ED/RD) and patients; it also encompasses a wide range of tasks that require close coordination with various departments within the hospital. “From supporting patients, handling information, to collaborating with treatment teams, every working day brings new and interesting experiences for me”.
During her tenure, one of the memories Ms Thuong particularly remembers is supporting severely ill paediatric patients. Among the most frequent cases are the retinal detachment treatment for infants and young children performed by Dr J.D. Ferwerda. Each time, after completing a treatment for a child, she felt a deeper appreciation for her work. The smiles after their recovery and the peace of mind for the families, they are the great motivation for many people at FV to continue striving in their roles.
With her gentle nature and willingness to tackle challenges, Ms Thuong is known for her dedication to every task assigned. Her patience and quick problem-solving skills have helped many cases be handled smoothly. Her excellent teamwork and support for the staff in the Liaison Office contribute to the department’s efficient operation and has help alleviate a lot of pressure.
Ms Thuong is confident: “Every time I assist a patient or a doctor, whether it’s something small like scheduling an appointment or something significant like supporting complex medical procedures, I am always very willing.” The multi-task nature of her job ensures that there is always something new to learn. By observing and refining her approach to tackle each issue, Ms Thuong gradually mastered her work, fostering a bond between doctors, patients, and FV. On a deeper level, the care and attentiveness of many FV Family Members have brought reassurance and trust to many patients during their treatment.
The Shining Star of May 2024 is a well-deserved recognition for Ms Tran Thi Thuong’s quiet contributions, as well as those of the Liaison Office. We wish her continued enthusiasm, bring joy and value to the community through her work in connecting doctors to treat many patients.
