Christmas at FV is truly one of a kind. It goes beyond vibrant decorations and festive displays, focusing on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where a sense of peace touches every person, every space, and every moment.

A Special Christmas at the Hospital

As an international hospital dedicated to patient-centred care, FV recognises that effective recovery requires more than medical treatment – it also depends on emotional support to stay optimistic and recover more effectively. Therefore, every area at FV is thoughtfully decorated and arranged to help patients feel at ease and comfortable.

Christmas at FV embodies the same heartfelt spirit. It is more than just a holiday celebration, it’s a message of peace and goodwill shared with everyone — from patients and their families to the dedicated staff. Vibrant decorations line the hallways, gingerbread cookies add a festive touch, melodies playing from the grand piano fill the air, choirs bring warmth with their singing, and even Santa Claus delivers gifts to the young patients. Every detail is carefully arranged to create a truly memorable “FV” Christmas.

Starting in early November each year, the Marketing Department begins brainstorming and discussing ideas for the upcoming Christmas season. Guided by a main theme, a variety of activities are carefully planned: designing festive decorations for the hospital, preparing gifts for children, sourcing suppliers, coordinating Santa appearances, and reaching out to partners and sponsors for art events and Christmas fair.

“The biggest challenge is ensuring that everything stays on schedule, as there are many tasks to complete during the Christmas season at the hospital,” shared Huu Vinh, a member of the Internal Communications team, which leads the organisation of FV’s Christmas programme.

What makes Christmas at FV truly special are the sweet, heartwarming melodies performed by volunteer choirs from international schools like SSIS, Fulbright University, as well as local and international orchestras and ensembles. Music lovers, staff, and guests come together, united by the spirit of sharing well-wishes through the warm and soothing sounds of the season.

Christmas at FV is not the work of just one department; it is the result of collaboration among many teams. “The goal is to create a diverse and meaningful Christmas programme. Therefore, we need the support of many departments and must coordinate effectively with everyone,” explained Phúc Khang, Internal Communications Team Leader. For instance, children’s gifts are designed early to give the Purchasing Department ample time to source them at reasonable prices during the busy year-end peak season. The F&B Department contributes by crafting a festive Christmas menu, while the Building Maintenance Team ensures the venue is ready, handling decorations, power setups, and equipment adjustments for performances or markets. Each team’s dedication ensures a truly special Christmas experience at FV.

However, Christmas at FV would not be complete without the active participation of all its members — those who eagerly take part in various year-end activities. Each individual plays a vital role, contributing to the unique Christmas atmosphere at FV that warms hearts and spreads joy.

Christmas at FV: Sharing the Spirit of Peace

Dr Vo Ngoc Tu from FV Lifestyle, a recent addition to the FV Family during this year’s Christmas season, shared: “One morning when I arrived at the hospital, I heard the sound of a piano, saw the Labubu snowman, and the Christmas tree in the main lobby. It made me feel so alive and full of energy for the new working day.” Dr Tu also expressed gratitude to colleagues for their efforts in organising events that created such a warm and memorable Christmas experience.

Meanwhile, Kim Ngan, an intern in the Marketing and Communications Department and a member of the Christmas programme team, shared her heartfelt thoughts about Christmas at FV. She noted that beyond the creatively designed decorations, the artistic performances and impromptu musicians added a unique charm to the festive atmosphere. “It made me realize that even my small efforts can bring happiness to many people. This memorable experience helped me better understand the value of sharing during Christmas,” Ngan shared.

A long-time patient, Mrs K. Huong, 70 years old from Vung Tau, who has entrusted FV with her and her family’s healthcare for 20 years, shared her thoughts on experiencing Christmas at FV for the first time. Just hours before being discharged, Mrs Hương attended the Christmas Fair — a cherished annual event at FV. “I saw the nurses and many staff members who were taking care of me happily participating in the market. This really added to the special Christmas atmosphere here,” Mrs Huong shared.

Each Christmas season, FV’s departments come together to uphold this cherished tradition, fostering a culture of collaboration and celebration. As the holiday filled with love returns, the programme organisers and every member of the FV Family are ready to share the joy, strengthen connections and bring the true spirit of Christmas to life at FV!
