“There is no clearer picture of the soul of a society than how it treats children,” said late President Nelson Mandela on the day of the launch of a children’s fund in his own name in 1995. It is not because we care for the soul of society that we need to take care of our children, but simply because every child deserves a healthy life. By giving a helping hand, you can help to support many young lives.
FV Hospital and the Children of Vietnam Fund have launched the fundraising programme “The Mask of Love – Give a child a chance in life” to help our community. You can join us by participating in two activities:
1. “Show love, and give children the chance to be healed”:
For the price of VND 30,000 per antibacterial fabric mask, each made according to European standards, you not only protect yourself but also help underprivileged children under 16 years old get the care they badly need.
All profits from the programme will be donated to the Children of Vietnam Fund to cover the treatment costs of disadvantaged young patients with disabilities or injuries that can be treated by surgery—all for the price of a small cup of coffee.
Masks are sold at FV Happy Shop, Indochine Lobby, FV Hospital’s ground floor.
2. “Spreading love, healing disease”:
Let us share the message of this programme with everyone by taking pictures with the lovely masks and posting information on Facebook following these steps:
- Step 1: Post photos and set the post in public mode.
- Step 2: Attach the following hash tags: #khautrangyeuthuong #lantoayeuthuong #chualanhbenhtat #nangbuoctuoitho #ChildrenofVietnam #benhvienFV #FVhospital
- Step 3: Tag your friends to call people to action and share beautiful moments about this project.
By sharing a small message, you can set of a cascading chain of love to bring hope to underprivileged children. The top 10 individuals who win the most interactive points (post a photo = 1 point, commenting = 3 points, sharing = 10 points) between now until 15/05/2021 will receive a thank you letter and a commemorative medal “Spreading love, healing children” from the programme. The results will be announced on the Website and Fanpage of the Children of Vietnam Fund on June 30, 2021.
While it’s true that a few people cannot care for all the children who need our help, the more people join hands together, the more children have the chance of a brighter future. Together, let’s lend a hand to help more children in life.
The Children of Vietnam Fund was founded by FV Hospital in 2006 and continues to sponsor the programme. All activities of the organisation are linked to its commitment to help treat Vietnamese children under 16 years old with disabilities/injuries which can be treated by surgery.
During more than 15 years of operation, the Fund has helped more than 500 children to heal from their diseases and disabilities with the support of many domestic and international experts and surgeons.
