FV Hospital continues to affirm its commitment to supporting community sporting events by providing medical assistance at the AFL Asia Cup 2024 – one of the largest Australian Rules Football tournaments held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The AFL Asia Cup 2024 was held from 6th to 8th December 2024 at Thanh Long Sports Ground, Binh Chanh, drawing over 300 athletes. Organised by the Australian Football League (AFL) exclusively for Asian citizens, the tournament featured 10 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams from 10 countries and territories, including the Vietnam men’s team. Matches were played across two main pitches, filling the three-day event with energy and excitement from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

Given the international scale and competitive intensity of the tournament, FV Hospital’s medical team was on-site to provide safety and prompt medical support for the athletes. The emergency response unit included doctors, nurses, dedicated ambulances, and strategically positioned medical tents across both pitches.

Throughout the tournament, FV’s medical team closely monitored the games, delivering first aid for numerous minor injuries and ensuring the swift transfer of more serious cases to the hospital for immediate treatment. This dedicated support allowed athletes to focus on performing at their best with confidence.
