143 Volunteers Join the 15th “Give Blood – Give Hope” Programme

On the morning of 4 March 2026, FV Hospital, in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion and Haematology Hospital, organised the 15th “Give Blood – Give Hope” programme, marking the beginning of a series of humanitarian blood donation activities for 2026.

Many volunteers arrived early to take part in the programme

In the warm atmosphere at the Auditorium on the 3rd Floor, FV Building, every individual registering and every arm ready to share created a deeply meaningful morning. This year, the programme recorded 143 registrants, with 133 successful donations.

Smiles of satisfaction as participants shared kindness with the community at the beginning of the new year

Notably, the programme collected 118 units of 350ml and 15 units of 450ml – contributions from healthy volunteers eager to support the community. Additionally, 10 cases were temporarily deferred as they did not meet the health requirements at the time of screening. Although they were unable to donate on this occasion, their proactive registration and volunteer spirit remain a great source of encouragement for the medical team.

Every drop of donated blood is a chance of life given to someone in need

Blood and blood products consistently play a vital role in emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatment, and many serious medical conditions. As the blood supply relies entirely on voluntary donations from the community – given that blood cannot yet be produced artificially – every contribution is especially meaningfull.

Meaningful blood donation certificates received by FV staff

Over the years, “Give Blood – Give Hope” has become a familiar and meaningful activity at FV Hospital. More than an annual programme, it is also an opportunity for healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and patients to come together in the shared role of giving the gift of life.

Taking place from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm, the entire screening and donation process was conducted according to safety standards, under the professional coordination of the Blood Transfusion and Haematology Hospital. The professionalism and dedication of the medical staff ensured that every participant felt reassured and appreciated.

Over the years, “Give Blood – Give Hope” has become part of FV’s culture

Concluding the 15th edition, “Give Blood – Give Hope” once again demonstrates the enduring volunteer spirit of the FV team and the donor community. The programme will be maintained as a way for FV Hospital to supporting the community, not only through medical treatment but also through silent actions for the sake of life.
