From 15th to 20th May 2015, French hand surgeon Dr. Stéphane Guero will be working at FV Hospital’s Orthopaedics and Hand Surgery Department.
Dr. Stéphane Guero has over 20 years of experience in hand surgery and is known as “the hand magician” for his skill in performing difficult and complicated surgical procedures such as pollicisation to create thumbs. During this procedure, he surgically moves or migrates a part of a finger to the position of the thumb to help patients with an absent or deficient thumb to regain the use of their hands; or he performs a bone graft if the thumb has been absent from birth.
During working time at FV Hospital, Dr. Stéphane Guero and hand surgeons at FV Hospital will offer consultations and surgeries to adult and paediatric patients with hand malformations or trauma-related deformities such as syndactyly (when the bone and skin of adjacent digits are fused together, preventing the development of fingers), polydactyly (supernumerary digits) or ectrodactyly (the deficiency or absence of one or more digits) and hand tumours.
To make an appointment with Dr. Stéphane Guero, please contact FV Hospital’s Orthopaedics and Hand Surgery Department by calling (08) 54 11 33 33 (ext 1227) or book an appointment online.
