From April 22 to August 31, 2019, FV Hospital’s Ophthalmology & Refractive Surgery Department has a special promotion of 13% to 20% off Refractive Surgery using traditional LASIK, Femtosecond Lasik or refractive correction with corneal crosslinking.
Book surgery during this period for the following savings:
- 20% off Lasik surgery package, now VND 21,400,000 (originally VND 26, 800, 000)
- 20% off Lasik surgery with corneal crosslinking treatment package (or Lasik Xtra), now VND 33,440,000 (originally VND 41,800,000)
- 13% off Femto-second Lasik surgery package, now VNĐ 41,000,000 (originally VND 47,400,000)
- 13% off Femto-second Lasik surgery with corneal crosslinking treatment package (or Femto-second Lasik Xtra), now VND 54,000,000 (originally VND 62,400,000)
Packages cover surgery and four post-surgery follow-ups using the latest ophthalmic medical and surgical services.
Long-term efficiency
For a long time, collagen has played a key role in the cosmetic medical field. Collagen acts as the glue that holds our tissues together as well as giving strength and flexibility to our bodies. The corneal collagen crosslinking technique (CXL) has been developed to form strong chemical bonds between collagen fibrils and adjacent fibrils, aiming to increase corneal biological flexibility for bright and healthy eyes.
In Vietnam, only a few medical facilities, including FV Hospital, are able to perform Lasik Xtra and Femto Lasik Extra surgeries based on the corneal crosslinking technique – a minimally invasive surgical option which does not cause pain and offers a high degree of safety.
This method is recommended for patients with keratoconus and postoperative corneal edema.
CXL is effective in treating patients with high degree myopia and thin corneas. It helps to increase the cornea’s durability after undergoing Lasik surgery, reduces the threat of corneal edema and stabilizes the eye’s refractive status.
Latest treatment methods
FV Hospital is proud to offer innovative methods and techniques which ensure safe eye surgeries and long-term efficiency.
Treatment method | Advantage | Subjects | Previous procedure | Crosslinking
Step 1 | Step 2 | Step 3 | Step 4 | Step 5
Traditional Lasik | Duration of operation: 15 mins Laser exposure time: tens of seconds for each eye.
| People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction.
| Creating a thin flap in the cornea using a computer-controlled surgical blade, then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath.
| Using the excimer laser, pulses of light are directed at the eye to reshape the cornea.
| Repositioning the corneal flap.
| Not applicable. | Not applicable. |
Lasik Extra
| Duration of operation: 15 minutes. Laser exposure time: ten seconds for each eye. Reinforces the cornea’s durability, reduces the risk of corneal edema and prevents redevelopment of myopia. | People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction.
| Creating a thin flap in the cornea using a computer-controlled surgical blade then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath. | Using the excimer laser, pulses of light are directed at the eye to reshape the cornea, correcting refraction. | Repositioning the corneal flap.
| Dropping Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) onto the cornea to absorb into the corneal parenchyma. | The riboflavin-soaked cornea is illuminated with ultra-violet A (UVA) light. The light cross-links the collagen fibers within the cornea, making it stronger.

Femto-second Lasik
| Safe. Eyesight is restored immediately after surgery. | People aged from 18 with myopia, hypermetropia, or astigmatism with stable refraction. Specially applied to people with high degree of refraction and thin corneas.
| Creating a thin flap in the cornea using the Femtosecond Laser, then flipping the cornea flap to expose the parenchyma beneath. | Using excimer laser to reshape the cornea beneath the flap and correct the refraction.
| Repositioning the corneal flap. | Not applicable. | Not applicable. |
Femto-second Lasik Extra
| High degree of safety. Eyesight is restored immediately after surgery. Reinforces the cornea’s durability, reduces the risk of corneal edema and prevents the redevelopment of myopia.
