On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, 27th February, a delegation representing the Department of Health and leaders from the Fatherland Front Committee visited FV Hospital to present flowers and presents to the hospital’s doctors and medical staff on 25th February 2014.
The delegation included Ms. Vo Thi Dung, President of the HCMC Fatherland Front Committee; Dr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Health; Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Chief of Secretariat under the HCMC Department of Health, and other medical officers.
Speaking for the delegation, Ms. Vo Thi Dung said: “On behalf of HCMC’s leaders, Dr. Hung and myself would like to express our sincere congratulations to the doctors of FV Hospital in honour of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day.
“The Department of Health and leaders of other city authorities fully appreciate the significant contribution of private hospitals, especially FV Hospital, in the development of Vietnam’s health sector. We are proud that our city has private hospitals that are trusted by local and international patients.
“FV Hospital was founded 11 years ago but has made a great contribution to the quality of healthcare available to people in this area and neighbouring provinces. In honour of Vietnam Doctor’s Day, we wish you, the doctors and nurses of FVH, good health, happiness and more success in your endeavours in HCMC’s healthcare sector and throughout our country.”
In response to the sincere congratulations from representatives of Department of Health and city leaders, Dr. Jean-Marcel Guillon, FVH’s CEO, said: “On behalf of the hospital management and our doctors, I would like express my gratitude to the representative of the Department of Health and the city leaders for visiting us at FV Hospital.
“This is wonderful encouragement from our city’s leaders and is especially significant as we will reach another landmark in two weeks’ time: our 11th year of operation. For the past 11 years, we have constantly given our greatest efforts to achieve the success we enjoy today.
“We are proud to contribute to taking better care of Vietnamese people. Over 75 per cent of our patients are Vietnamese. In addition, we also draw an inflow of foreign currency to the Vietnamese health sector. We currently welcome patients from 135 nations worldwide for medical examinations and treatment at FV Hospital. We receive more than 10,000 Cambodian patients every year.
“In addition to the efforts of our doctors and staff, our success after our 11-year journey is also thanks to the support and guidance from the Department of Health and other authorities. I would like to express my gratitude again for the congratulations we have received from the representatives of the Department of Health and other authorities. Once again, thank you for good wishes and invaluable support.”
