As a dedicated lab technician, Mr Huynh Huu Huy has been with the FV Laboratory & Blood Bank Department for over 11 years. His passion for learning and career growth has instilled a progressive spirit in his work, earning him recognition from colleagues as the FV Shining Star of July 2024.

Starting as a fresh graduate eager to explore the field of laboratory testing, Mr Huu Huy has consistently honed his skills and gained valuable experience. Today, he independently conducts a range of tests in   biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, and flow cytometry. He emphasizes that FV is not only his first workplace after graduation but also an environment that has significantly supported his career development and comprehensive professional growth.

“The working environment here is always equipped with modern facilities, regularly checked to ensure optimal performance. This allows me to feel confident in delivering fast and accurate test results to patients,” Mr Huy shared. He also expressed gratitude for his colleagues’ dedicated support, emphasizing how they form a team wholeheartedly committed to patient care and the safety of laboratory professionals.

FV’s Laboratory & Blood Bank Department is a pioneering unit at FV, recognized for achieving prestigious quality certifications. Huy remarked with a smile, “These certifications are genuine; everyone’s daily work strictly adheres to the regulations they entail.” There is absolutely no attitude of “going through the motions” or obtaining prestigious certifications only to neglect ongoing process improvement. “This difference at FV is what has made me stay,” Mr Huy adds.

Mr Huu Huy candidly admits that he initially felt overwhelmed and stressed by the numerous regulations and procedures, to the point where he considered leaving. However, these very standards became the foundation for his growth, enabling him to work more efficiently and ensure safety for both patients and healthcare staff. Over time, it was the clear and well-defined processes that strengthened his commitment to FV.

One of the greatest joys FV has brought Huy is not only career growth but also love. “My most memorable moment is meeting and marrying my wife at FV,” he shares warmly. On a lighter note, it could be said that FV has plenty of ‘advantages’ in retaining the July 2024 Shining Star, who is highly regarded by colleagues for his independence and unwavering focus in every task.
