In only two years at FV, Nguyen Hoang Thien Phuc, A&E Receptionist/Cashier, has demonstrated remarkable dedication, enthusiasm, and a continuous drive to learn. The FV Shining Star Award for November 2024 celebrates Thien Phuc’s achievements, boosting his confidence in his career journey and serving as an inspiration to many young colleagues at FV.

Recalling his early days at FV, Mr Phuc openly shared his initial feelings of confusion and anxiety. As a recent graduate in Linguistics with no prior experience in the healthcare sector, he admitted, “I was worried whether I had the ability to meet the demands of working in such a professional international environment like FV.” However, with the encouragement of supportive colleagues and his steadfast determination, Mr Phuc quickly adapted to his role and developed a genuine passion for his work.

Working in the A&E Department demands both quick responsiveness and a calm, composed approach to handle unexpected situations effectively. Mr Phuc was particularly struck by the diversity of the patients coming from various cultural and national backgrounds, remarking: “This gives me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I have gained in such a unique environment.” He also recognised that each patient who comes to the A&E Department has their own story, which adds a certain charm to his job.

Mr Phuc not only excels in his work but also stands out for his friendliness, enthusiasm, and willingness to assist others. “Even with the more impatient or tense patients, Phuc has a way of calming them down that works really well,” said Thanh Truc, one of his colleagues. For Mr Phuc, a successful working environment relies on individual efforts and strong team collaboration. He highly appreciates all the members of the A&E Department who have always supported and guided him over the past two years.

“I enjoy challenging work, and at FV, I get to learn and help many people. I believe I’ve made the right choice in my career,” Phuc shared. Each time he sees a patient leave healthy or receives a simple “thank you” from a child, Mr Phuc feels that his efforts are truly meaningful and rewarded in the warmest ways.
