The Children Of Vietnam Charitable Fund Offers Free-of-charge Treatment For Underprivileged Children

Most people take having a healthy body for granted, but for unfortunate children with physical disabilities in difficult circumstances, it’s a dream that seems impossible to achieve. The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund was established to cover the costs of surgeries to correct malformations so that these children have the chance to live a normal life.

The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund calls on communities, charity organisations and benefactors to share details of underprivileged, disabled children so that the Fund can support their treatment.
Children are eligible if they are:

  • Aged under 16 years
  • Currently living in Vietnam, regardless of location
  • In difficult circumstances
  • Exhibiting diseases or malformations – as a result of congenital problems or accidents – targeted by the Fund’s work (see below).

Upon receipt of a potential patient’s information, the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund will look into their family circumstances and screen them for diseases. The Medical Council will then evaluate the possibilities of treatment and rehabilitation. If necessary, the Medical Council will jointly consult to offer assistance on a case-by-case basis.

LIST OF DISEASES OR MALFORMATIONS THAT MAY BE ACCEPTED FOR TREATMENT SUPPORT:

  • Heart diseases, such as ventricular septal defects, atrial fibrillation, ductus arteriosus, pulmonary thrombosis, narrowed aorta.
  • Injuries, orthopaedic conditions such as syndactylism, dislocated hips or club foot.
