The FV Year-End Party 2023 marked the “completion of 20 years” for the FV family and brought many emotions and unforgettable moments. Under the theme “Masquerade Night,” the programme brought a blend of traditional flavours and explosive modern performances to the stage; along with some surprising appearances from the attending guests.

The event connected major happenings throughout the week.

Notably, two days before, FV officially announced its “family unity” with the Thomson Medical Group (TMG), allowed, the Masquerade Night to be honoured with nine high-level managers from Thomson in attendance, who were glad to meet over 1100 members of the FV family.

Opening the programme, Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon (Chief Executive Officer of FV Hospital) expressed gratitude for the efforts of the FV family over the past year. He also extended New Year wishes to everyone, welcoming the management team from Thomson to the impressive party.

Meanwhile, Mr Kiat Lim (Executive Vice-Chairman of TMG) mentioned that Thomson’s members were delighted to be present at the party. He thanked and congratulated the successful collaboration between Thomson and FV Hospital in the recently announced deal. “We share a common vision, and Thomson will help FV Hospital become the number one hospital in the region,” emphasised Mr Kiat Lim.

Continuing, Dr Melvin Heng (Group CEO of TMG) had some humorous remarks before officially kicking off the party. He felt the party atmosphere resembling weddings, creating a familiar and warm feeling among FV members. Dr Melvin highlighted the family culture at FV, expressing his affection for the hospital, evident in this party.

The beginning of the programme is always the best time to honour the outstanding individuals from 2023. This year, the prestigious FV Shining Star 2023 award was presented to Mr Phan Ngọc Trị (Porter – Accident & Emergency Department / Outpatient Department). Dr Jean-Marcel stated that Mr Trị’s dedication to the final moments for patients in critical conditions not only typifies excellent medical responsibility but also demonstrated his courage in handling the job for nearly a decade.

The colourful Masquerade Night showcased the “awakening” of many new talents.

The programme commenced with charming and captivating performances by the Front Office team. Following, were familiar faces from the Outpatient Department’s nursing staff. Making her debut, Ms Phan Nguyễn Trúc Quỳnh from the Guest Relations Department delivered a deeply emotional song, evoking strong emotions in many FV family members.

This year, a special highlight was the first appearance of members from the ACC Clinic in the “FV Idol lineup.” Participating with the outstanding vocals of Mr Nguyễn Thanh Duy preforming “Unchained Melody,” along with an artistic musical performance reflecting the medical spirit of the ACC team. The excellent coordination and charm of the MC – Hương Giang, also a member of ACC, can not to be forgotten.

The next performance from two “professional and friendly” dance groups, represented various departments and gathering under the “flag” of the Accounting Department and Guest Relations Department, did not disappoint. With the illusion in each performance, they took the audience through different colour tones in the musical genre of Vietnam and internationally.

Of course, we must mention the very effortful and special gift from the Fabulous group, composed of members of the Masquerade Night organising team. The energy from Fabulous’ choreography continued with two performances rich in ethnic characteristics and vibrant colours. With adorable lyrics, the Sales Department members brought sweetness to the end of the year. Right after that, a performance from the Maternity Ward, combined with the vocals of Mr Dương Thái Trung (Operation Theatre), closed the music programme and an atmosphere filled with flowers, fireworks, and the dynamic sound from the Tot holiday lion dance.

In the Masquerade Night, it is undoubtedly essential to acknowledge individuals who went above and beyond – sometimes even with significant expenses – for their impressively masks. With hundreds of captivating and interesting costumes from the FV family, the organising committee selected three main awards and added five “hot” awards for the most outstanding costumes. Accordingly, the Unique Costume award went to “His Majesty” Dr Louis Brasseur (Pain Control Unit); the Creative Costume award went to the costume of Ms Trần Thanh Uyên, the prison warden (Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund); and the Confident Costume award went to Ms Đinh Thi Hue Thanh (Front Office).

Of course, the indispensable parts of the year-end celebration are the valuable gifts for the lucky guests. This year was even more special with the participation from Thomson executives in a lucky draw. The exciting atmosphere created very interesting situations on stage.
